Medical Visualization

Medical Imaging is the technique and process used to create images of the human body (or parts and function thereof) for clinical purposes (medical procedures seeking to reveal, diagnose, or examine disease) or medical science (including the study of normal anatomy and physiology) [WIKIPEDIA]. X-Ray and MRI are amongst the most widely used techniques. Modern computing hardware and computer graphics software packages can use medical imaging data to build very detailed 3D models that can be used for diagnoses and educational purposes. Similar technologies were used to train Surgeons and to simulate and plan for future surgeries.
