Virtual Cultural Heritage

Virtual Cultural Heritage is a research field that aims to use modern computer graphics and image processing techniques to document, investigate, preserve and reconstruct archeological and architectural objects. Many technologies are involved to achieve that. Laser Scanning, Magnetic resonance imaging, Reflectance Transformation Mapping, 3D photogrammetry, Virtual and Augmented realities are some of the technologies involved. The constructed 3d models and digital repositories are also useful for archeology and history educational purposes.
